Elafonisi Lagoon
I'm not sure why this stack of sun beds caught my eye. I had spent a productive couple of hours around sunset making "traditional" landscape images, and had packed my camera away for the night. I was on my honeymoon and thought I should spend at least some time with my wife. When I saw these though, I had to unpacked it all again for that infamous "one last shot" that all photography widows come to dread.
Looking at the picture now, they remind me of how quickly things can change. Elafonisi is a rightly busy place, but only my wife and I were left on the beach by the time the sun set. A few hours earlier these sunbeds were like gold dust. Now, they were deserted and discarded; put aside until they were needed again.
I don't remember any such deep thoughts at the time though.
